GOTR Journals are used by every girl at each practice, providing girls the opportunity to reflect on what they’ve learned and practice these new skills.

Every GOTR girl is eligible to receive a brand new pair of athletic shoes to ensure that they can run, walk, skip and jump during practice and at the celebratory 5K event; the cinch sack helps girls stay organized; and program t-shirts help teammates feel connected.

Your $50 gift provides a pair of athletic shoes, a cinch sack, and a program t-shirt to one girl!

Each of our 350 volunteer GOTR Coaches is required to participate in a comprehensive Coach Training. In addition to First Aid/CPR and programmatic training, we work with Coaches to learn about how to build community, identify their own racial biases, and increase their discrimination awareness.

Your $100 gift provides training and materials for two Coaches!

Of the 1,300+ girls who participate in GOTR in Spring 2023, HALF will require financial assistance. Each year, we provide between $90,000 - $100,000 in financial assistance to ensure that EVERY GIRL who wants to participate is able to, regardless of her family’s ability to pay the program fee.

Let’s face it, Girls on the Run is known for the celebratory 5K event, which occurs at the end of each season. When girls cross the finish line, they have a new sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals. That shiny medal is a concrete and constant reminder of how goal-setting and practice make all the difference!

Your $250 gift provides 5K entry fees and 5K medallions to one team of girls!

GOTR creatively integrates – and allows girls to practice – life lessons with physical activity, including running. An additional aspect of the GOTR program is the Community Impact Project, which is girl-led and executed, helping teams of girls understand the meaningful contribution they can make in their community.
